so after some teething trouble i am now settled at canzibe. at first my bakkie was unavailable so i drove up in my grans 1970s toyota, what a legend. the hospital is an old dutch reformed mission which is pretty much neglected by the government. it is in an amazing area, on top of a hill between the valleys of the umtata and umdumbi rivers. there are banana trees growing everywhere and the house where i stay is shaded by huge peacanut trees. the physio dept has been a bit neglected, the last physio was here 12 years ago, but there is plenty of space and a surprising amount of equipment lying around. weekends have been spent at coffee bay and mdumbi backpackers. if you decided to do your commserve inland then you a just crazy. you are offered weed, shrooms and lobster wherever you go, the lobster is amazing! im staying in a house with a pharmacist on commserve and a dutch doctor who has worked here for years. it looks to be an exciting year
